Many years ago, in 1944, a lot of men were ready to start one of the most important moments in History, Normandy landings. Americans, English, French, and even a group of spanish men who fought in the 9th company of the 2eme DB. The liberation of Northern Europe was about to start (Spain, only had it in 1975 unluckily). Honour to that heroes who brought liberty, paying it whith their lives.

A day as today in 1741 the British fleet of admiral Vernon fleed from Cartagena de Indias defeated by Spaniard troops of Blas de Lezo. From my forum mate Miguel Aracil:

"In honour to don Blas de Lezo and all aur ancestors wo fought for our motherland, a day as today in 1741 in Cartagena de Indias, while the "Jenkins' Ear War" happened the battle in which don Blas de Lezo y Olavarrieta (1689-1741), one-legged, one-handed and one-eyed, with only six battleships, 2830 men and 990 cannons defeated the british fleet, the biggest warships group ever sailed the seas, under Edwrd Vernon's command, with 180 battleships, 23600 troops and around 3000 guns, the biggest fleet ever until D-Day in II World War.
